Under x-ray guidance, a needle would be placed into your disc, a Perc-D spineWand would then be inserted through the needle into the disc. Tissue is removed as the Wand is advanced creating a small channel. Several channels are created and each channel will be thermally sealed as the wand is slowly withdrawn. IV sedation and pain control are provided for your comfort. Risks are similar to the IDET procedure and include nerve damage, infection, hemorrhage and possible allergic reaction to medication |
